The Spark of inspiration: Finding the right vibe

Every song starts with a spark of inspiration. Sometimes it’s a riff that’s been echoing in my head for days, or a phrase that captures the essence of the story we want to tell. Inspiration can come from a lot of places—listening to other legendary bands, personal experiences, or even conversations with our fans. We take what inspires us and start building it out into the foundation of the song.

For us, heavy metal music is more than just a genre; it’s a way of life. Every time I pick up my guitar, I feel the legacy of bands like Iron Maiden and Metallica running through my veins, guiding each riff and power chord. If you’re a fan of thrash metal or death metal, you’ll understand that vibe—it’s raw, it’s intense, and it speaks to something primal within us all.

Working together on riffs, solos, and lyrics

Creating a song is a group effort. As the lead guitarist, I usually kick things off with a few riffs. Once I have a riff I’m happy with, I bring it to the band. We jam together, exploring different directions and building on each other’s ideas. The drums, bass, and vocals each have their own voice in the song, and they all have to be in sync to create that wall of sound that heavy metal is known for.

Our vocalist is responsible for most of the lyrics, but we all pitch in. We like to dive into topics that resonate with the metal community—struggles, triumphs, and the darker sides of life. We often draw inspiration from the things that metalheads care about, like standing up for what you believe in and embracing who you are.

Bringing the song to life in the studio

The studio is where the magic happens. It’s where our ideas come together, and the song starts to take shape. Each band member has their moment to shine, perfecting their part of the track. We usually start with the drums, laying down a solid beat to build on. Then, we add in the bass and guitars, followed by the solos and, finally, the vocals.

There’s nothing quite like hearing the song for the first time as it’s meant to be heard. We do multiple takes of each section to capture the best performance. Once we have everything recorded, it’s time to mix and master the track. This step is crucial for achieving the powerful, polished sound that heavy metal fans expect. We often collaborate with talented producers who share our passion for metal music and understand how to bring out the best in our sound.

Why we love what we do

Writing songs is an intense process, but there’s no feeling like it. It’s a rush, knowing that each note and lyric will become part of something bigger—a track that we can share with fans all over the world. There’s nothing more rewarding than seeing people headbanging to a song that we poured our hearts into.
